Arrowhead Components Inc. Limited Warranty states that this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal and intended use for a period of one year from purchase. OUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE OBLIGATION under this warranty shall be to repair or replace, at our sole discretion, any product that does not conform to this warranty and is returned for visual inspection. The product must be accompanied by the original sales receipt and returned to the purchasing source. Requests for returns or exchanges must be initiated by contacting Arrowhead Components Inc. for a Returned Merchandise Authorization. Such repair or replacement shall not include removal or installation. IN NO EVENT SHALL ARROWHEAD COMPONENTS INC. BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
Your new aluminum 8 lug drum is a replacement part designed to replicate and function in a manner such as the original part. You’ll notice that your original drums had weights typically screwed into the side of the drum in between the fins to balance the assembly. Great care was taken in the process to create an assembly as close to balanced as possible, but it is the customers’ responsibility to have your drums balanced by a professional mechanic to ensure your ride remains vibration and pulse-free. The machining on your new 8 lug drum is state-of-the-art, but your drums need to be “turned” after installation of your races to ensure you have a truly concentric I.D. of the lining. The machining process can not duplicate the actual turning on a brake lathe once the races are pressed in.
Be aware that a brake drum is a wear and tear item that undergoes thousands of temperature and braking cycles throughout the course of its lifetime. State-of-the-art materials and processes were employed to insure years of safe and enjoyable driving. That being said, it is the purchaser’s responsibility to have these drums installed by a licensed, experienced professional.
Returns will not be granted due to:
A) Damage suffered during improper installation of wheel studs, bearings, races, seals, mounting, rim assembly, any manner of aftermarket adapter, etc.
B) Damage suffered when being used with used, worn-out or improperly maintained or installed brake pads, springs, hardware, etc.
C) Damage suffered by improper or lack of maintenance.
D) Damage or structural failure as a result of an accident or road conditions.
E) Damage or structural failure as a result of reckless, careless driving.
F) Damage or structural failure as a result of racing or off-road activity of any kind.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE SOLE EXPRESS WARRANTY GIVEN AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED.
“Legalese” aside, Arrowhead Components Inc. has made every possible attempt and precaution to provide enthusiasts with a durable, beautiful and safe replacement aluminum 8 lug drum. These are drum brakes manufactured to work as well or better than the original OEM part. Do keep in mind, however, that this drum is simply a component of a complex braking system that requires owner maintenance and care to operate to the best ability a drum braking system can offer.
